Course description

Culture includes things we know really well, like a song we hear on the radio or a kind of food we eat. Culture can also be something new to us, like another language or a religious celebration.

Learning about other cultures and trying new cultural activities makes it easier to understand the world around us. It also helps us understand how other people live.

This course is all about getting more comfortable with cultural activities, like:

  • Visiting a museum or an art gallery
  • Going to a performance, like a concert, a play, or a dance show
  • Taking a class, like cooking, pottery, or writing
  • Experiencing another culture, like tasting a new dish, travelling to a new country, or learning a new language

This course is funded in part by the Government of Canada under the Future Skills program. To learn more about the program, please visit the Learning at the Museum website.
