Course description

This workshop deals with the skill of reading. Reading helps us find information and communicate with others. In this course, we will talk about how and why we read. We will also learn about key strategies that can improve reading skills.

The Reading course is part of the UP Skills for Work program which helps you build skills for learning, work, and life. When you have these skills, you have the foundation needed for learning all other skills and to succeed at work. The UP Skills for Work program courses include: Motivation, Attitude, Accountability, Presentation, Teamwork, Time Management, Adaptability, Stress Management, Confidence, Reading, Writing, Numeracy, Communication, Digital Technology, and Problem Solving.
