Course description

This course is about spending plans. A spending plan is a plan for how you will spend your money so you can best meet your needs and goals. A spending plan also helps you find ways to put aside money for the future.

This course is part of the Money Matters for Indigenous People program. We designed Money Matters for Indigenous Peoples to help you take better care of yourself by taking better care of your money. We’ll talk about how to manage money online and in your daily life

No matter who you are or what your situation is, it can be hard to think and talk openly about money. It can be hard even with people you know well. Be patient with yourself as you get started. We organized this course around the Indigenous “4 Rs” – the values of respect, responsibility, reciprocity, and relationships. The 4 Rs will guide our talk and may help you feel more comfortable.

When you feel good about money and money management, you’re less stressed. You have more energy for the things that are important to you.

This course is made possible through the generous support of Money Matters founding sponsor TD Bank Group through the TD Ready Commitment. This project is funded in part by the Government of Canada under the Future Skills program. To learn more about the program, please visit the Money Matters website.
